THE BELOW is a special side story that debuted in a special Ribon extra - it's the side story called HIKARU'S SIDE - It may not make complete

MAX LOVELY SIDE STORY: HIKARU'S SIDE - by ERIKA KURAHASHI
Hikaru professes to Airi for the 10th time his feelings for her,
but Airi's response is a question asking if his
career goal is acting. Then he claims his feelings have been only for Airi ever since he laid
his eyes on her on that day and goes into flash back.
It is the interview with school officials as part of application process for Houyuu Junior High
School and Hikaru was very nervous. The school calls out Airi first asking what is her reason
for applying and what is her dream for the future. Airi responds she was attracted to the
school name and the uniform. She questions if the school names means, "wealth of treasure", and
explains she is excited to find the treasure she will find in this school concluding her
statement that her dream is to become a flight attendant. Noticing the special aura on her,
Hikaru is determined to get accepted to this school and spend wonderful junior high school life
with her.
On the first day of school, Hikaru is excited to find Airi is in his class. Some boys (Taki is among them)
take notice of Airi and one of them claims she is pretty but has a personality like a boy.
This boy mentions Airi
did not seem to have any interest in boys back in elementary school and he's interested to see who
will go out with her. As Taki listens to this he takes a glance at Airi. At the same time,
Hikaru decides he will try to talk to Airi
when a teacher informs he is in the wrong class!
One year has passed, and Hikaru and Airi are close enough friends to call each other by first
names now. He is having a problem solving a question during exam and looks at an application card
with a photo sticker of Airi - he uses that for good luck. After the exam, Airi tells Hikaru she has another picture for him - to which Hikaru is all happy but then sees that she is offering him a signed autograph of Taki claiming
it will give him better luck being that it's from smartest student of the class. Shouting that it
will have no effect on him, Hikaru tears it apart. THE END. ;)
