It's the first day of the new marking period and Gorou's mother reminds him what his father had said the night before. He needs to place first or he will be forced to transfer to another school!

At school, Michiru asks Airi if she has made any progress in her relationship with Taki and she disappointingly answers no. Airi is concerned how she could still behave normally around Taki, but her friend tells her she should not worry from her experience with Gorou.

Airi and her friends discuss the upcoming school cultural festival. Hikaru becomes excited when he hears Airi's intention to win cross-dressing contest for the third straight year, but quickly explains to Nako he is only cheering as a friend. While admitting Airi is pretty, Nako blurts out if she should grow her hair long like her sister. Meanwhile, Airi and Taki wonders about Hikaru's behavior for he does not come to hang out in their classroom as often as he used to.

Later, Airi finds Gorou walking by and inquires him about going into the meeting room for EFG back in August. He denies being in the school building let alone has knowledge of such group. Soon he claims it would not matter because he would probably get transferred to another school soon. Michiru overhears this and walks away.

Taki is astonished to hear Michiru beg him to score lower on the test. After she confesses she loves Gorou, Taki suggests her to tell Gorou her feelings to cheer him up and Michiru realizes Airi is his weakness. Then Airi walks in trying to encourage Michiru. Seeing their friend leave with a smile, Taki explains she has decided to support Gorou. However, he wonders whom Airi will support and she claims neither. Suddenly, he approaches to kiss Airi and she looks away apologizing for not being able to wish him luck.

At home, Gorou finds Michiru at his door in her cheerleading uniform exclaiming she wants him to give his best shot on the test. Everyone is feeling nervous as it gets closer to the day of test and the test now begins.

10 day has passed since the test. Airi's class announces they are considering doing a play, present day version of "Romeo & Juliet", for the school cultural festival. They believe they have no problem winning grand prize with Airi and Taki as the main cast. Miss Fujiko then announces the test results will be posted tomorrow, which Airi and her friends have been anxiously waiting for.

Later, Airi and Taki's classmates approach them to take up the role as Romeo and Juliet requesting them to be elaborate on the kiss scene! Taki calmly agrees while telling Airi they can just pretend kissing. Airi explains to herself that she avoided his kiss because she was not in the mood. Since then, Taki seems to be giving her a cold shoulder, but he denies he is upset with her.

Airi and Nako are walking home together. As Airi notices Nako often talks about Hikaru, Nako immediately denies it and decides to go into the drug store. She explains she is only picking up facial cleansing foam, but Airi finds her behavior strange.

The test results are out and Michiru inquires Gorou how he did. However, he is upset that Taki has fallen to 10th Place while Airi is in shock. Taki is absent that day. Michiru blames herself for the favor she asked, but Airi does not believe Taki would do such a favor for anyone. As her friends the reason for his absence, Airi receives a message on her cell phone and instantaneously walks out in the middle of the class upon seeing it. She calls Taki asking of his whereabouts and he tells her he is on rooftop asking for her help. Seeing Airi in front of him, Taki claims he is depressed from the test result. Assuring he will be okay, she tells him he can show his weakness to her.

As Airi and Taki made amends, Gorou suddenly appears demanding an explanation for Taki's test score. Taki enlightens that he is upset for having a bad day and Gorou should accept the fact that he got the top score with his ability.

"Cross-Dressing Beauty Contest?" asks someone, and Kumiko hands over money and a photo of Airi for entering the contest. Mysterious person named, Yui, has no confidence in winning the contest while noticing something familiar with Airi's face.

Airi and her class are having practice for their play, and Michiru is furiously directing them to repeat the love scene for they only have 3 days left before the festival. As Taki hugs Airi in the play, he casually asks her out to see a movie with him later and she thinks this is like an invitation for a date. Suddenly, Hikaru rushes in claiming Airi has a new contender for the beauty contest from outside of their school, Yui Mitsuhashi, and she is in trouble. Upon seeing Hikaru excited over supporting Airi, Nako wonders how she could become cool-looking girl that he likes.

At Taki's mother's beauty salon, Airi is showing her outfit for the contest to Taki and her cell phone rings. Her stepmother does not know of Nako's whereabouts, and Airi and her friends begin looking for her. Eventually, she receives a call from Nako and they find her upset from her hair turning blonde! She wanted to be like Airi so Hikaru would like her. Immediately, Hikaru apologizes to her and confesses he really likes her for who she is. In order to accept him as her sister's boyfriend, Airi asks him to leave her fan club.

Later, Airi admits to Taki she is relieved that Hikaru did not reject Nako. However, Taki detects that she also feels lonely while explaining he has confidence in knowing her well. Airi once again comes to a realization on how much she is in love with Taki.

Airi in her china dress greets Nako and Hikaru at the Dim Sum eatery her cheerleading club is holding. Meanwhile, Taki is making rounds with Miss Fujiko on campus as School Patrol. Nako inquires Airi about the kiss scene in her play, and she and Hikaru are amazed to see her nervous. Although she tells she has confidence in going through the scene, Airi is actually feeling otherwise ever since she realized she loves Taki.

While patrolling around the school building, Taki asks Miss Fujiko about any recent incident. They discuss about the "F" group and she states as a teacher she prefer to see those students find the joy of life rather than get reprimanded.

Suddenly, Airi comes rushing down the hallway to get to the beauty contest, when she bumps into someone. It is Taki and she presses him of his whereabouts for she had been worried. Then he confirms if she is all right with him playing as her lover and she acknowledges. However, what she has not told him is her other reason for concern. She has already told Gorou about the meeting for the "F" group. She feels Gorou is not exactly an enemy, though.

Girl's Cross-Dressing Beauty Contest has begun and cheers can be heard upon Airi's appearance. However, a new face enters under the name of Yui Mitsuhashi with unknown background. Among those cheering for Yui is Airi! Contest ends with an announcement for the result to be revealed the following week. Airi and Michiru leave for preparation for the rehearsal play. As Airi is getting dressed in the dressing room, someone tears the sign off the door. In the interim, Taki finds Gorou running to him to tell him something.

"I-seya?" Airi assumes it is Gorou entering her dressing room, but she finds Yui standing instead. To Airi's question about her school, Yui ignores and inquires if she has told anyone about the "F" group. Suddenly, she pushes Airi down and Airi realizes Yui is a boy! Then he annoyingly claims she was his first love, but also the one who ruined his dream. Just then door opens and it is Taki to her rescue. He says Gorou gave him the key telling him to go help Airi. In the meantime, Yui attempts at escape, but he gets caught. With his mention of her first kiss, she remembers him by his real name, Jou. Jou begins to leave and Airi tries to go after him. However, Taki stops her. He informs that Gorou had confessed to him about being the "F" member.

Iseya has told Taki of his membership in the F group and Taki later tells Airi of Iseya's confession. Airi and Taki keep talking and Airi takes Taki's hands and leads him somewhere.

In the hallway, Michiru feels ill from her period when Iseya finds her. He tells her he has not seen her as a boy for quite some time and thanks her for cheering him up with the test. Then he states he has made a decision.

Airi and Taki's class play, "Romeo and Juliet", is about to begin and they are shown the props. They are told a toy dagger is made of aluminum and poison is a grape juice, and they will be placed by the stage.

The play has begun and as Airi and Taki get into their characters and Taki pretends to kiss Airi in her " Juliet takes the fake poison death scene", they can hear people in the crowd saying stuff about them and the kiss to which Airi blushes and the artist/creator shows a panel that they were barely touching lips ;)

As Taki is about to do the Romeo death scene, he pulls the dagger out of sheath when he notices the dagger has cut his shirt - the dagger is real. Airi opens her eyes and she too realizes the dagger is real. Taki and Airi stare at each other, and suddenly Taki kisses her to improvise the scene. The dagger falls from his hand. They finish the play as a grand success. Later, Taki apologizes to her for his sudden action.

After the play, Airi, Taki, Iseya and Michiru gather to discuss the incident. Taki believes the dagger was obviously real and it was switched as a prank. Iseya says he had no clue and would not know the plans unless they ask for his involvement. Michiru refuses to believe he is a member, but he confesses the true identity of "F" group. "F" is actually a cult group within the school called, "EFG", with equality in all students as its main motto. However, he disagrees with their conduct and declares he will leave the group, today. He wishes to be friends with Airi and Taki now.

The act opens with a younger Iseya. Iseya is describing how he remembers academics being his only merit until he entered Hoyu Junior High School. He was struggling with his grades in the First Year when someone approached him offering to give copies of previous exams while inviting him into the "F" group. However, he realizes now after getting to know Airi and her friends that they are only doing crazy things as they please. Airi then claims they are friends and he is a good person while Michiru regrets for not being around when he needed her. Suddenly, Michiru feels anemic and Goro decides to take her to the Nurse's Office. Airi and Taki wonder if he can leave the group so easily - picture of the F group as raging vampires with fangs.

At home, Airi is in her bedroom (reading Ribon Mascots Comic Max Lovely on her bed) when Nako comes and asks Airi what it was like to kiss Taki and Airi hesitantly answers she feels happy so much so that she may fall head over heels over him. However, she believes to herself he only did it to calm her down from seeing the dagger.

Next day, Hikaru announces Airi has won for wearing male uniform for 3 years straight in a row. He celebrates by having her parade around the school in Mr. Nomura's convertible car. As Airi mentions to Taki that his mood has changed at the mention of "Boy Uniform Contest", Taki remembers Yui claiming he was the one who gave her her first kiss. He strongly believes Yui is after Airi. (In Erika Kurahashi's Free Talk for Volume 1 she said that Airi had her first kiss in 1st Grade - turns out it's this Yui person.)

Watching the parade from the window above, Mr. Gojo is listening to Kumika telling him Goro is acting odd lately. He mentions her playing pranks on Airi and slaps her face for the recent event of placing a real dagger at the play. Before leaving, he claims he is the "God of 'F'". Kumika wonders what his motive is for finding the group and why he is afraid of Taki.

Taki notices Yui at the school gate and Airi begins to tell him he has become a good-looking boy when Taki says not to go out with him. Abruptly, their car comes to a halt and Airi falls on top of Taki giving him a kiss. She immediately apologizes and walks away thinking it did not feel like it just happened in a momentum. As she ponders about Taki's words, she meets Yui. He confesses he's fallen for her, but Airi states she has someone she likes pointing her finger at Taki, who is hiding behind the pillar. Although Yui asks her to consider him as her next candidate for a boyfriend, Airi believes there is no "next" for her.
